Mrs. Buckman has served as Principal at Grace Abbott Elementary School since 2022. Previous to this role, she was the Administrative Intern at Ackerman Elementary for three years in MPS. Before joining Millard, Mrs. Buckman served as the K-2 Student Support Specialist in Blair, Nebraska, and also taught second and third grade.
Mrs. Buckman is originally from Malcolm, Nebraska. She graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a degree in Elementary Education and K-8 Art Education. She received her Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Doane College, and is currently working on her Educational Specialist and Doctorate of Education through Doane University!
When Mrs. Buckman is not at school, she enjoys spending time with her family - including her husband Brandon, daughter Brinley, and dog Millie - traveling, crafting, and being out in the sun by the water!
