Mrs. Buckman is in her first year as Principal at Grace Abbott Elementary School. Previous to this role, she was the Administrative Intern at Ackerman Elementary for three years here in Millard Public Schools. Before joining MPS, Mrs. Buckman served as the K-2 Student Support Specialist in Blair, Nebraska, and also taught second and third grade.
Mrs. Buckman is originally from Malcolm, Nebraska. She graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a degree in Elementary Education and K-8 Art Education. She received her Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Doane College, and is currently working on her Educational Specialist and Doctorate of Education through Doane University!
When Mrs. Buckman is not at school, she enjoys spending time with her family (including her husband Brandon and dog Millie!), traveling, crafting, and being out in the sun by the water!
